By accessing or using the Religion & Theology Archive (the “Archive”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Archive.

Use of the Archive

The Archive provides a curated catalogue of digital texts, primarily in the areas of sacred texts, theology, and related historical works. The Archive is offered for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may browse, read, and download materials for your own study, research, or enjoyment. The catalogue includes works such as The writings of Clement of Alexandria, The works of the Rev. John Wesley, and The Dabistán, or School of manners, each presented with editorial context to aid understanding.

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the Archive for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display substantial portions of the Archive’s content (beyond fair use or fair dealing) without appropriate attribution or where such use would infringe copyright.

Bibliographic and Transcription Limitations

The texts in the Archive are presented as historical documents. Bibliographic descriptions and transcriptions have been prepared with care, but may contain errors or omissions. The Archive makes no guarantee that every text is complete or accurate. Where possible, transcription sources are noted, but users should verify critical references against original editions or authoritative facsimiles. For example, works like Job and Solomon: Or, The Wisdom of the Old Testament or The gods of Mexico are offered as digital versions that may differ from print editions.
